Malm, Alba (1897-1986) "Kahill Ginger" and " Ostrich Plumo Ginger" 2 watercolors, both signed in lower right, good condition, sizes: 14.5 x 1.5 inches. Alba Malm (1897-1986) was born Lindsborg, Kansas, 1897 and died in Lindsborg, 1986. Alba Malm Almquist was a painter and craftswoman. She received a B.A. degree from Bethany College, Lindsborg where she was a pupil of Birger Sandzen and her father, GN Malm.She did graduate work at the University of Kansas, Lawrence on a science scholarship and taught for many years in schools in and around Lindsborg.Some of Alba?s work is signed ?Dahlquist? because she was married to ? She divorced Dahlquist and later in life married Almquist.
