Cassedy, Edwin Gray (1885-1950) "In Old Virginia" woodcut, pencil signed loweright, good condition, 4×4.75. Edwin Gray Cassedy worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture as an illustrator. In 1933 he joined the staff of the Smithsonian Institution Institute’s Bureau of Ethnology as a publication illustrator, specializing in maps and landscape scenes. He traveled to Mexico and western U.S. with the Bureau, where he explored prehistoric ruins.
