Description
Wright, Jack (1923-2015) brown jar, stoneware, signed Jack Wright on bottom, good condition, no chips or cracks, jar size: 10.75 x 6 x 6 inches. Wright was a renowned ceramic artist with his works being displayed at Washburn University in Topeka. From 1957 to 1988 he was Professor of Fine Art at Washburn University. He received his BFA in 1949 from Carnegie Tech University in Pittsburgh, PA and his MFA from the New York College of Ceramics at Alfred in 1951. Jack married fellow artist, Rebecca (Rinearson) Wright, in 1952.
