Description
Kasamatsu, Shiro (1898-1991) color wood block print, Riverside in Rain, signed Shiro Kasamatsu in lower right, good condition, not examined out of frame, image size: 10.25 x 7.25 inches. Shiro Kasamatsu (1898–1991) was a renowned 20th-century Japanese artist and printmaker, pivotal in both the shin-hanga and s?saku-hanga movements. Trained under Kaburagi Kiyokata, he began creating landscape woodblock prints for publisher Watanabe Sh?zabur? in 1919 and later with Unsodo, noted for capturing serene, traditional Japanese scenes and landscapes.
