Description
Garcia, Beverly. Acoma pottery, signed on bottom, good condition, no chips or cracks, pot size: 8 x 9.5 x 9.5 inches. Beverly Garcia is a well-known Acoma potter from the Acoma Pueblo in New Mexico. She has been creating hand coiled, traditional Acoma pottery for over 40 years and has passed on the tradition to her children, Katherine Victorino and Mervin Victorino, who are also skilled Acoma potters. Beverly Garcia creates traditionally formed shapes and uses fine line and other traditional designs on her pottery.
