Description
Malm, Alba (1897-1986) fall trees and rocks, watercolor, signed Alba Malm Dahlquist in lower left, good condition, image size: 3.5 x 5.25 inches. Alba Malm (1897-1986) was born Lindsborg, Kansas, 1897 and died in Lindsborg, 1986. Alba Malm Almquist was a painter and craftswoman. She received a B.A. degree from Bethany College, Lindsborg where she was a pupil of Birger Sandzen and her father, GN Malm. She did graduate work at the University of Kansas, Lawrence on a science scholarship and taught for many years in schools in and around Lindsborg. Some of Alba’s work is signed “Dahlquist” because she was married to ? She divorced Dahlquist and later in life married Almquist.
