Description
Helm, John (1900-1972) Leadmills, block print, pe no mat or framencil signed, ed. 25, good condition, image size: 6 x 8 inches. Member of the Prairie Print Makers. Helm was born in Syracuse, NY and joined the faculty at Kansas State University in 1924. He was instrumental in developing the visual arts culture in Manhattan from 1930-1960. While also a gifted painter, his work was primarily in the media of wood engraving & intaglio (drypoint, aquatint and etching). His love of the Kansas Flint Hills is embodied in his work.
Condition: good condition, no mat or frame
