In addition to visits to the Swedish villages of Kansas, they together experienced a large number of National Parks in Arizona, Colorado, California, Montana, Wyoming and more.In 1990 he was invited to Russia by the clown Ruben for a charity exhibition. This triggered a five-year commitment and work for vulnerable children in orphanages and hospitals in the former Soviet Union, a work in which he received, among other things, strong support from his youth friend the journalist Malcolm Dixelius . In Russia, he collaborated, among other things, with the translator Tatsiana Dobronitskaja.
