Description
Kennedy, Della J (1887-1967) Cottonwood, block print, pencil signed in lower left, good condition, no mat or frame, image size: 9 x 6 inches. Della Kennedy (1887-1967) studied at Bethany College, Lindsborg, Kansas from 1927-1931 as a pupil of Birger Sandzen. She was Born Della Jean Platt in Ohio, at a young age she moved to a farm north of Geneseo in Ellsworth County, Kansas. She married Dan Condon, but he died in 1912. She later married William A. Kennedy, but it did not work out and she divorced him in 1922. Aside from the travel she did while painting she continued to live near or in Geneseo (just a few miles from Lindsborg) for the remainder of her life.
Condition: good condition, no mat or frame
