Thomas Klocke, 1990 untitled, acrylic on canvas, 72.5 x 66 inches, signed on back, poor condition: paint is peeling in large portions of the painting and missing in some areas of surface. Klocke was a playwright and painter. He received his BFA from Bethany College, Linsborg, KS in 1971 and a MFA from Indiana University in 1973. At Indiana, he collaborated with another graduate student creating performance art. That?s when he first caught the playwriting bug. Klocke moved to New York City where he worked at an Off-Off-Broadway theatr. In New York, he studied Advanced Playwriting at Playwright’s Horizon. Klocke moved to Lawerence, Ks, where he studied Advanced Playwriting at the University of Kansas.
