Schyler, Michael, 2018 platter, stoneware, signed on bottom, good condition, no chips or cracks, size: 8.5 x 8.75 x .75 inches. Michael Schlyer is a ceramic artist who earned a BFA at the University of New Mexico and an MFA at Fort Hays State University. He taught high school art for ten years and was an Artist in Residence for the Wichita Public Schools. He is the owner of Flat Earth Clay Works and has been a practicing potter and sculptor for over 40 years. Michael has shown his work throughout the United States and has pieces in the permanent collections of the Wichita Art Museum, the Corning Museum in New York, the Hutchinson Art Center, and Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
