This original watercolor by Lindsborg artist and Birger Sandzen student, Alba Malm features the image of a brook in the snow. Measuring 4.25" x 5.75", this piece is in fair condition, and is in a Carl Teed frame. It is signed by the artist in the lower right. Born Lindsborg, Kansas, 1897 and died in Lindsborg, 1986. Alba Almquist was a painter and craftswoman. She received a B.A. degree from Bethany College, Lindsborg where she was a pupil of her father, Gustav Malm Almquist.
She did graduate work at the University of Kansas, Lawrence on a science scholarship and taught for many years in schools in and around Lindsborg.
