Thorp, Carl M.(1912-1989) – trees, oil on board, 1950, painting size 18" x 23.5" signed in the lower right and is in good condition. Active in California between 1928 and 1957, Carl Thorp studied at the Academy of Fine Art in San Diego with Maurice Braun and Alfred Mitchell. He was a member of the Society of Western Artists and the Northern California Artist Association. While the Raymer Society makes every effort to offer authentic, original artwork it is ultimately the bidders responsible for assessing and determining the work of art’s authenticity, condition and quality before purchasing.
