At age 15 Schneider became a pupil of Vanderpoel and Grover at the AIC. Moving to Buffalo, NY, he continued his studies at the local ASL and at the ASL in NYC followed by work in Paris at Académie Julian. Schneider taught at the Buffalo ASL for two years before moving to San Diego in 1926. In that year he joined the staff at the San Diego Academy of Fine Arts and taught there until his death on Jan. 23, 1950. Early in his career he painted Dutch and French scenes; later his palette brightened as he turned to Impressionism; while during his last years he used a bold, vigorous brush stroke. While the Raymer Society makes every effort to offer authentic, original artwork it is ultimately the bidders responsible for assessing and determining the work of art’s authenticity, condition and quality before purchasing.
