Gunnerson, Oscar (1884-1962) – winter sunset, watercolor, signed in the lower right, measures 6" x 9", good condition with mild acid burn. Gunnerson was born in Lindsborg, Kansas on June 17, 1884 and died Lindsborg, Dec. 1962, Oscar Gunnarson was a sculptor whose specialty was working in cement. He was also a painter, noted for winter landscapes of Kansas. Gunnarson graduated from Bethany College, in Lindsborg in 1906. He was a pupil of Birger Sandzén. He worked at Malm Bothers as resident manager and was in charge of the stencil operation.While the Raymer Society makes every effort to offer authentic, original artwork it is ultimately the bidders responsible for assessing and determining the work of art’s authenticity, condition and quality before purchasing.
