Handwoven basket by Caroline Kahler. Peosta, IA, is titled "Granny’s Fanny" and is signed "Caroline Kahler" inside the basket handle. The basket is in good condition and measures 14x10x8 and is dated 1991. Kahler has a B.S. degree from Kutztown State College, PA and a M.A. degree in textile arts for Perdue University, IA. Kahler is well known for her ceramics and fiber art, and has pieces in private and museum collections around the country. She has served as Professor of Art and Department Chair at Bethany College in Lindsborg and at Southeast Missouri State University.
