Lot 66:
Oil on canvas board depicting a Kansas road, trees and a creek in snow is in good condition and measures 8×12 and is signed "Oscar Gunnarson" in lower right. Gunnarson (1884-1962) lived in Lindsborg, KS his entire life. Oscar Gunnarson was a sculptor whose specialty was working in cement. He was also a painter, noted for winter landscapes of Kansas. Gunnarson graduated from Bethany College, in Lindsborg in 1906. He was a pupil of Birger Sandzén. He worked at Malm Bothers as resident manager and was in charge of the stencil operation.
