"At the Beach, " an oil on canvas, is signed "E Tomasch" lower right and measures 31×61. Elmer Tomasch (1914-1977) was a painter, sculptor and graduate of the Cleveland School of Art and Western Reserve Univ. Received his master’s degree from Kansas State College. Taught at Cleveland Public School, at Lake Placid, and joined the faculty at Kansas State Univ., Manhattan in 1947. Worked in commercial illustration. Member of the Prairie Water Color Painters.
