House w/poplar trees, oil on board, is signed "HS" lower right and in good condition, measuring 12×9. Hannah Swensson (1866-1945) was a painter, teacher, printmaker and attended Bethany College, Lindsborg, for three years and married Luther Swensson, brother of the founder of the college. She was employed as an instructor in art at Bethany College, Lindsborg, 1891-92.
