Blue abstract woman is a watercolor, signed "D Gaston Runbeck 1966" lower right, in good condition. It measures 15.5×13.25, total dimensions are 24×18. (1898-1994) Dolores Gaston Runbeck was a painter, specifically floral still lifes, landscapes, religious and symbolic compositions, portraits and expressionistic abstracts. ..Studied at Bethany College, Lindsborg with Birger Sandzen from 1923-28 and at the Art Institute of Chicago, the Chicago School of Applied Art, the Art Students League. Taught at Bethany College from 1926-1929 then established her own studio in Lindsborg. She was a member of Prairie Water Color Painters, Prairie Pprint Makers Society, Kansas Federation of art, Lindsborg Artists Guild. Collections: Sandzen Memorial Art Gallery.
