Raymer Society Consignment Art Auction
Lot 39:
Road to farm is an acrylic, signed "Hagan" lower right, in good condition, measuring 12×16;total dimensions are 19.5×23.5×1.75. "For decades, Jim Hagan was Manhattan’s most-collected artist. Walk in almost any bank in town, and you will see Hagan’s watercolors. He was a familiar sight on the dirt roads of Riley County, sitting on the tailgate of his pickup, painting the seasons of the Flint Hills. He is most well-known for his watercolors, which exhibit a loose but accurate style of naturalism, and one can still identify the specific places in many of his paintings."
