"Winter Trees 1973" is a watercolor by Oscar Larmer, signed "Larmer 73" lower right, in good condition, measuring 19×13. Total dimensions are 29×22.5×2. Oscar Larmer studied under William Dickerson, with Prairie Printmakers. and has had artwork in countless exhibitions in his lifetime. Larmer earned a Three Year Certificate in painting from the Minneapolis School of Fine Arts in Minneapolis, a BFA in painting and drawing from the University of Kansas, an MFA from the Municipal University of Wichita, and taught painting and drawing at Kansas State University from 1956 to 1989. Mr. Larmer is in the collections of the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Kansas City, the Beach Museum of Art at Kansas State University, and the Ulrich Museum of Art at Wichita State University, as well as numerous corporate and private collections. His work, mainly watercolor and oil paintings, reflect nature in a variety of ways, some more traditional in appearance while many are abstract.
