An unsigned Dolores Gaston Runbeck oil on canvas, daylilies, is in good condition, has areas with chalk where artist may have been planning changes?, and measures 20×24. Total dimensions are 22.5×26.75×1.25. (1898-1994) Dolores Gaston Runbeck was a painter, specifically floral still lifes, landscapes, religious and symbolic compositions, portraits and expressionistic abstracts. ..Studied at Bethany College, Lindsborg with Birger Sandzen from 1923-28 and at the Art Institute of Chicago, the Chicago School of Applied Art, the Art Students League. Taught at Bethany College from 1926-1929 then established her own studio in Lindsborg. She was a member of Prairie Water Color Painters, Prairie Pprint Makers Society, Kansas Federation of art, Lindsborg Artists Guild. Collections: Sandzen Memorial Art Gallery.
